Why is Kailash Mansarovar a part of China?

Kailash Mansarovar holy pilgrimage for all religions which fall under the autonomous region of Tibet, China.

Renowned historians believe that Kailash never belonged to India at least from the last 500-1000 years, in fact, Nepal had a brief control over the sacred mountain and lost to China during the Sino Nepal war in 1972, During this time pilgrimage was stopped from 1954 to 1978 during the war period.

After the Sino China war limited number of pilgrims were allowed to visit the place under the supervision of Chinese authorities and ever since then the Kailash region is controlled by the Chinese government, all passport, permits, and Visa are approved by Chinese authorities only.

There were several other stories on the internet about Mughal emperor Aurangzeb defeating China and snatched Kailash Mansarovar which was found to be viral and fake. As China always has authority over the Kailash and fought back this place in the India China war.

Since 1981 under the governance of the Indian ministry of external Affairs and with co-operation of the Chinese govt. Kumaun Mandal Vikas Nigam has been organizing trips to Kailash Mansarovar via Lipulek pass.

It is strictly prohibited to scale holy Mt.Kailash and Chinese authorities have banned any sort of trekking or climbing the mountain because of sentiments of various religions and no attempt is allowed to scale the mountain.

It is believed that only a soul free of all sins could climb the mountain and no human soul is eligible to scale the 22,000 feet holy peak
